The event, which will take place on 29 January 2019, is both important and timely, coming as it does on the very day two new Regulations on matrimonial property regimes and the property consequences of registered partnerships enter into force. The gathering will also constitute an occasion to draw attention to the ELI’s recently completed project on ‘Empowering European Families: Towards More Party Autonomy in European Family and Succession Law’, which seeks to translate key aspects of the above and other EU legislation into pragmatic legal options for affected parties and for legal practitioners advising the same.
The Seminar will take place at the Austrian Chamber of Civil law Notaries in Vienna and will be conducted in English with simultaneous translation into German or vice versa. The agenda is available in English and in German.
